My flatmate Joy finally graduated and got her PhD today, after passing her viva several months ago, but missing the cutoff date for graduation. We three flatmates went out for a meal along with several other of Joy's friends and after trying various pubs afterwards, settled on Curlers (the cheesy music swung it), although we all gave up fairly early, with Stevie giving up and leaving first. Joy and I weren't all that far behind him, though. It was, however, a very pleasant evening which I enjoyed thoroughly.
