I'm really glad to see that the pay dispute between UCEA and the UCU has been resolved. This is something that's been going on for months now (although we put our pay claim in at the start of the academic session, back in October, and UCEA refused to negotiate until March) and although we've had reasonable student support so far, it was bound to start waning sooner or later. Also, this means that Glasgow University's threat to start deducting 30% pay from staff involved in the action should no longer happen. I guess that face is saved on all sides. The offer isn't really different from the last one that UCEA put, but the main point is that it leaves the door open for further negotiation further down the line.
